The Ernest F. Hollings Undergraduate Scholarship Program, administered through the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), provides support and multidisciplinary learning experiences for under-graduate students interested in pursuing research, public service, or teaching careers in the oceanic and atmospheric sciences. Awards include academic assistance for full-time study during an academic year; a ten-week summer internship at a NOAA facility; and, if reappointed, academic assistance for a second academic year.
