DAAD furthers the international aspects of German academic, cultural, and science policies and supports the international relations of German universities through:
Study Scholarships for Fine Arts, Architecture, Music, and Dance, which aim to provide students in the fields of fine art, design, film, music, choreography, and architecture an opportunity to complete a course of additional studies with¬out earning a formal degree at a German university or institution. Applicants should have a good command of German.
Study Scholarships, which provide applicants in all disciplines the opportunity for a year of independent study to complete
Research Internships in Science and Engineering (RISE), which give students in the fields of biology, chemistry, earth sciences, engineering, and physics the chance to spend a summer working with research groups at universities and top research institutions across Germany. Must be a current full-time student who has completed at least two years of a degree program in a major indicated above. No previous knowledge of German language is required.
