Black Alumni Society Scholarship

The Black Alumni Society partners with the Woodson Williams Marshall Association (WWMA) in fundraising efforts for the Black Alumni Society Scholarship Fund. The WWMA is a group of University of Miami administrators and faculty that develops strategies for the recruitment and retention of black administrators and faculty. Members also serve as resources for black students.

Each spring, the Black Alumni Society Scholarship Fund provides academic scholarships to rising black seniors who have maintained a strong GPA and demonstrated leadership abilities and involvement in extracurricular activities at the University. The UMBAS and WWMA have raised more than $60,000 over the past three years for the Black Alumni Society Scholarship Fund.
